Fashion Revlution Week 2020

Despite everything, it is Fashion Revolution Week this week and nothing will keep me from talking about it! To raise awareness around the importance of slow fashion this week, I will be writing one post every day in support of the slow fashion movement! So please share them and tag me!

Fashion Revolution takes place this week on the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, which killed 1,138 people in 2013. The aim of Fashion Revolution Week is to get people to come together to campaign for a change in the fashion industry.

The fashion and textile industry is one of the most polluting industries on Earth, and so addressing this is a key part of tackling climate change. It is wasteful and polluting and the human cost throughout the supply chain is massive. The aim of Fashion revolution is to address first of all the issues of  transparency and living wage. However, this week also concerns the environmental impacts of fashion and how the creation of a fast fashion world has damages people animals and our living planet.

I gave up fast fashion in 2017 and since then I have been writing to raise awareness around the horrible things that happen along the fashion supply chain. I have took part in Fashion Revolution Week for the past few years and this year I would urge you to get involved too. Here I will be writing a post everyday around fast fashion and the industry. I will also be creating content for this week on my Instagram - so make sure you follow me there too!
