Supporting local businesses and artisans has never been more important. As we choose our Christmas gifts this year, lets all remember that this season is a lifeline for many small businesses here in Britain that have been struggling through the lock-down. Lets take this opportunity to invest in local craftsmanship and support British Made goods that help keep our economies diverse and our local skills and traditions alive.
Shopping small is not just about supporting local businesses and keeping money in the economy. It is also about what kind of job opportunities and companies do we all want to work for. Not everyone wants to work for massive corporate companies and putting more money into local artisan products and family businesses also increases job opportunities for other people to have more meaningful work where they are connected and invested into the product they are making or selling.
I have tried to pick out the most stunning things I could find for everyone in the family; with a made in Britain gift for everyone and every style. If you think I have forgotten someone or if you have any ideas please pop them in the comment section below!
Supporting British Companies and buying British made goods is a key factor in being more sustainable. It also supports local economy and keeps people connected to our cultural heritage at a time when the world is becoming more and more globalized. Consuming goods in a slow, ethical way means supporting artisans and businesses who have made the effort to keep production in the UK.
I hope you enjoy my list and can find something here to give to that special someone this year!
