So, if you follow me on Instagram you will know I have been on a bit of a skincare rampage the past few months. I think it is the late 20’s effect that now skincare is number 1 on my agenda.
Sukin is a brand I have never tried mainly because I thought
I wouldn’t like it. It reminds me of the green beauty movement in the 90s when
it was all about Neals yard , Dr Hauschaka and there wasn’t much choice on the
market. I also thought it would smell odd as I hate skincare that smells like
lavender, petuli or any other ‘hippy’ scent.
However, corona has made me try it. And I am so glad I did. I don’t have much money at the moment and I often find that skincare super expensive. This seems to be worse in the green beauty market with many creams serums and lotions costing a daily wage for most people. However, I was recently on Amazon and I saw some Sukin products on my search for a new serum. I then noticed the price.. and it was cheap!
I decided at that price I had to give it a go and I could see nothing in the ingredients list that would smell bad. I decide to get the night cream super-green serum and the cleanser. They are all ethical, cruelty-free and vegan which is amazing.
The cream cleanser contains rose-hip ,avocado and wheat germ and is for dry skin which is what I was looking for. The face wash I have been using at the moment is too drying for my skin and I wanted something soothing which this is. The super-greens facial recovery serum is actually amazing. It only cost £8 a fraction of what I was going to spend on a serum and I am in love with it. I have been using it regularly and I am really happy with the results. Night cream, I am not sure about this yet. It is for all skin types and I haven't found it that moisturizing as it is quite light. The jury is still out on this one but it is a good price and might make a good day cream instead.
Overall I am really happy with my purchase and I will be buying these again. I feel like this is exactly what happened with MADARA where
I tried the products and actually loved them; proving first impressions are not
always correct!
I would highly recommend Sukin for anyone who wants to try
some green natural skincare and who is also on a budget. I would even recommend the serum and cleanser to those who are not as they are so good!
